portfolio / August 2, 2010 Philadelphia Wings - 2011 Helmet Stickers Case Study

One of the first initiatives of the Philadelphia Wings 2011 marketing campaign involves the design and creation of promotional helmet stickers. The ultimate goal of the stickers is to promote the Wing's website and the 25th anniversary of the franchise.

The slide-show above illustrates the final sticker designs. Our process for developing these brand extensions are outlined below according to our tagline | concept. design. follow-through:

Concept: Working with the wings complex marketing manager we identified the main goal of the stickers. Focusing on highlighting their URL to drive fans to their website while maintaining their overall brand. The stickers will be distributed at Philadelphia lacrosse events, youth tournaments, as fan prizes, and wherever the Wings are promoting. Our original design proposal can be viewed here.

Design: After getting some helpful feedback from the marketing and the sales teams we revised the logos. The final refined stickers can be viewed above. The sticker we are most proud of was developed by working directly with the client; helping them to realize their vision of having a "sports texture" background. We developed a custom texture comprised of splatter graphics, lacrosse players, sticks, and the Philadelphia skyline.

Follow-through: We make all necessary final adjustments and edits to the files, including optimizing them for the specific print guidelines that were necessary. Working with the file formats which the print vendor requires while not comprimising the integrity of the artwork. Client confirmation that the artwork was prepared on time, correct, and had exceeded expectations was the most rewarding part of this project.

The goal of every project is a happy client, let us help you to visualize your ideas.
